Rose Levit (b. 1999) is a Seattle-based oil painter and illustrator whose work is inspired by food, fairy tales, and the circus. Originally an aerial circus performer, she has been transitioning into the world of fine art for the last several years, but her work is still deeply informed by her time flying through the air. She is a graduate of the Kang-O’Higgens Contemporary Atelier at Gage Academy of Art. You can find her work in galleries throughout Seattle, such as Axis Gallery and Domicile Design, as well as at regional fine art fairs.

Much of Rose's work deals with revelry, celebration, and excess. She explores the line between joyful abundance and capitalist overconsumption using imagery from various sources - a big-top circus act, the dripping icing on a cake, a trail of breadcrumbs through a dark fairytale forest. With a keen eye for color and strong attention to detail, she crafts visual worlds that are engaging, thrilling, and hauntingly familiar. â€‹
